Factory Braids and Buns

I imagine that the workers at the Mattel factory got bored creating top knots and ponytails day after day. For this reason we see some unique original hair styles every now and then.  

Braids and buns can probably be found on any of the ponytails #1 - #7, though I have only seen these styles on ponytails #3 - #7

Unless the doll has never been removed from her box,  it is impossible be 100% certain that a bun on a ponytail is original (from the factory) or whether a child or adult created the style long ago.

Below are some dolls with buns which I have photographed that are, in my opinion, likely to be original to the doll:
